The views, the quiet moments of the day. Very peaceful and pleasant

It was scary being in those woods with lions and elephants and they ddnt tell us that we need a 4x4 for that place. Almost killed my Opel Corsa.

The view and the super friendly host.

This place is a ruin. Fridge wasn’t working. Water to cook/wash was brown. Should be forbidden to be rented! There was a storm and we thought the metal roof was going to blow away. Didn’t sleep at all. Impossible to have access without a high clearance car.

While Griffon's rest is not for everyone - no electricity, but with an inverter to charge mobile phones and portable lights, the location is excellent! Deep inside the heart of the Marikela National Game Reserve. I was told on the day of my arrival that I missed an elephant sighting by about 30 mins! Oh, be aware that there are only spotty mobile networks

Please note that the drive from the main road to the dirt road is not the best and that from the dirt road to the venue it is even worse, but I made it comfortably with my Renault Kwid.
